"alphabrena... i know ur kinde are not here but they will return. and to you as a powerfull and beutifull queen. and there is something elce you must know... i'm not realy 12 years old...... i'm part of a branch of anchent wolves thet live 100 years at a time and are reborn and look the same, color, physicalr ect, as the died.... i was alive and was queen when the king was ruler and when he whant to war. you should look clowsly at a painting of ur king and look for me." the wolf pawsed to give the dragon some time to take in the information then continued "And he also mated. alhpabrena, you are a desendent of the grate king. this is your destiny and you must go to the tree. it will give you the power 7 lives, and titel of being queen." the dragon looked puzeled when the she wolf mentioned 7lives. inomay noticed and explained "when a dragon becomes ruler they recive 7 lives, as in they can be fataly wonded 7 times, you fallow?" the dragon nods " you cant be queen unles you do. and when you recive them you will be given lives by though of you kinde who have died." as the inomay finished she had a fire burning in her eyes. " mother... what do wolves do when they are given the titel?" asked fell " they first have to fight the curent ruler and win, then after thire victory howl they do the same thing and(looks up at tree) the same tree." inomay looked at the yong queen dragon and then hoped up onto a rock ad said " now is the time for me to redy my people for battle" then she hoped up onto a hight rock and howled/sang "come my people to war to war! matal,claw and fang, for i have rison from my madness and i will somon you to war. redy your packs you know where to go, i will meate you there, tell your brothren and sistren who have not herd and tell them, to war to war, WE MUST FIGHT!" when she finished she looked at her odd pack and said "we still have a long way to go, but my people will fight and i have worned them. now we still have some unfinished business to atend to, we must stop my sister, and we need to recrut the horses in the wast and the elk in the south. and to do this we need to... t-to cros the river, garra...." the she wolf looked proud. fell and kiery looked frightened when she mentioned the river.

alfabrena looked inomay strait in the eye. the dragon stood tall and proud her scales shimmering under the high noon sun, the mark apon her head gleaming. "you are right inomay-queen. if the fates have chossen me as the next high queen who am i to fight the destiny that has been laid before me?" the dragon looked up at the flowers that were now blooming all over the great tree. "you go do what you must do, for i must do what i must do." with that alfabrena laid down apon the grass. she laid her great head apon her folded front paws, touched her nose to the trunk of the tree and fell asleep.
*alfabrena lay there for a long time, finally she opened her eyes expecting to see she clearing with the sun at high noon and her companions standing beside her. she was wrong. the clearing was empty except for herself the tree and the shimmering silver rays of the moon.as the dragon raised her head there came silver streaks from the stars. the streaks came down and started to swirl around the dragon. then the streaks came to a halt surounding the dragon in silver light. the hovering orbs took slowly took shape as dragons of old. alfabrena gasped at the sight she was seeing. then the largest dragon stepped away from the group toward alfabrena. "young dragon," boomed the newcomer "do you relize who i am?" alfabrena took a deep shuddering breath and sank into a deep bow, the tip of her nose touching the ground for she new who this great dragon was. he was the first and only true high king. the first king of the nobal dragons...............*

"are you crazy!!!!! Do you whant us to die?" howled fell at his mother. "no... We must cross the river..." "but we will drown, its not just any river that we may fear, but the garra river..." said keiry. "its a sad thing... wolves fear water more than anything," snorts, "well as soon as the dragon queen awakens we should travel to the nort." said inomay. the small band of wolves herd a cry and saw the white falcon come and land beside inomay then hop onto the queen's sholders. "my queen," screeched the falcon, "your sister aproches from the north. and she has some elemental wolves, ftom the west with her as well" as the falcon finished inomay spoke "go to the north there you will find the land of the sika. look for a wolf named laska. tell him that inomay had sent you and to prepar for my comeing, and give him the news of the new queen dragon. also tell him to redy his army. then go to the east and give the same messange to a wolf named totosheen. tell him that in at least 4 moon cycels i will be at hes domain" as the wolf finished and the falcon toulk flight inomay saw the dragon glow, and know she had recived her first life.

*...........Alfabrena could not believe she was laying eyes on the great golden high king of the dragons, "my lord Adsum," she did not know how but she knew that this was the kings name. the name that had so long ago left the memory of the dragons he had left behind. it was a suting name for the king as well, for back in the old times dragons took names that were gifted to them by the fates and Adsum ment 'i am here'. the old kings eyes warmed as he looked down upon the young dragon before him, warmed to where they looked like molten carmel. "welcome, alfabrena." the voice seemed to belong to every dragon alfabrena had ever known, yet seemed to be one clear voice. "are you ready to receive your 7 new lives." alfabrena looked around at the dragons surrounding her but no one dragon seemed to be speaking. "yes," said alfabrena, strataning herself as she sat cat like with her tail cureled around over her front clawed paws. the golden Adsum stepped forward toward her. he bent his head and touched his nose to the mark apon her forehead which glowed gold at the touch of the one it had belonged. "with this life," the king rumbled, "i give you courage. use it well in defense of your people." a great firey heat like she had never felt before raced threw alfabrenas veins. as soon as it had come the felling eased, leaving her gasping. if thats one that means i have six more to go thought alfabrena how am i ever going to get threw this. the great king had turned to rejoin the ranks of star frosted dragons...........*

*........as Adsum took his place another dragon stepped forward. he was a deep pine green and once again, somehow, alfabrena knew his name. Ad Astra meaning 'to the stars'. the dragon placed his head between her horns and spoke in an aged voice, "with this life i give you, justice. may you use it well as you judge the actions of others." and once again alfabrena felt that burning pain that was the new life poring into every part of her, concuming her it semmed...........*

inomay got up and wonderd into the night. the wolf queen wonderd untill she found a field and sat on one of the hills. as she sat there a send traviled to her old factory sences. she turned her head in the direction of the sent to see where it was comeing from. she saw someone she never thought she would see. he was a wolf, but an odd looking one at that. he was the same color and markings of a fox. and he had green eyes. "hello my queen. i have not expected to see you here." said the fox wolf. " it has been a long time kenny." inomay said with anger in her voice. "what brings you to the land of the theaves and the sly?" asked kenny. " you know of the battle that will soon be comeing? right?" he noded "well i need your wolfen to help me. and sence i'm queen i can comand you but i rether ask for you to play a part." inomay finished looking at the green eyed wolf. "yes my queen what do you whant my kinde to do?" he said with his ears forword to take in every word she says. "you must train. sharpen your fangs claws and skills. be rady on my word." she finished ans he disapeard into the night. she looked to the moon knowing by the sound she herd that the dragon was on her 3rd life.

*...........a smaller female dragon the color of pink roses stepped form the shimmering ranks toward alfabrena.this was Amor 'love'. "with this life i give you love," said the dragon, her nose upon alfabrenas forehead, a slight smile curaling her mouth, "may you use it well, for all those in your care." warmth as she had never known pored into alfabrena. there was no pain, only love and the security she had felt as an alumna tucked up against her mothers side.the feeling faded as Amor took her snout away from alfabrenas forhead. next came another female silver in color even before the touch of the stars. alfabrena knew who this was, she didnt need the aid of the invisable voice inside her. Ad Mater 'nurturing mother' was her mothers sister. "Ad Mater," alfabrena gasped. "hello dear," said the silver dragon with a wide smile before she lay the tip of her nose in between her horns. "with this life i give you protection. use it well to care for your people as a ceca cares for her alumn." alfabrena had been lulled by Amors life and was not ready agony that swept threw her. she felt the fircenes of a mother protecting her young over wellm her untill she was left gasping for air as it subsided................."

inomay herd alfabrana cry out in agoney and smield. 'it remindes me of when i was anisheated as queen by the tree' the wolf turned and said "there is one thing i must do that i can do tonight." she turned ad walked into the woods " i must finde that brown wolf"

*.............another female steeped from the dragons ranks.her shimering scales a violent red, Alere Flamman 'to feed the flame' touched her nose to the mark on alfabrenas forehead. the mark glows and alfabrena relizes this must be Adsums mate. "with this life i give you compassion" said Alere Flamman in a surprisonly soft voice. "use it well for the elders of your people, and the sick, and all those weaker than yourself." alfabrena was ready for the firey pain, but what happened she wasnt ready for. instead of the fealing of fire it felt as though ice was streaking threw here vains, and with it came the love the high queen felt for her people. alfabrena drank it in wishing to bring as much of the high queen into her as possiable. sooner then alfabrena would have liked the connection was broken and when she oponed her eyes the queen was already retreating.the one to step from the ranks next was a turquoise male with a stremline body. Lux Mundi 'light of the wolrld' and alfabrenas uncle. "uncle!" alfabrena gasped. "hello young one. your mother and father are very proud of you." then he dipped his head touching noses with her. "with this life i give you loyalty to what you know to be right.use it well to guide your people in times of trouble."alfabrena braced her self but less pain came with this life.it felt as though it was melting threw her....................*

as the moon rose inomay sat in the lower branches of a cherry tree. as the queen stared at the moon someone spoke "aren you a prity sight." inomay spun around nearly falling off the tree branch. "well dont fall off. then i would have to laugh" said the now comer. as inomay stared at him she was shocked to see who it was. "you!... my pack and i have been seeking you, i dont know why but we where tolde to finde a forest wolf with the pelt of brown and eyes of blue." stated the queen in milde shock. "realy? i was tolde by my people i was supost ti finde a bulker, dier wolf mix with a cote of violet black and golden eyes filled with pain" he said ending with pity. "well insted of just talking and calling echother by long decriptions letd go by names, shal we?" she said with a flirting smile. "ok my name is daverto" said the new comer. "my name is inomay queen of the varg" said inomay. well sence we are going to have to whate till morning to return to my pack we might as well stay the night here." said inomay yawning. she curled up under the tree she had been sitting in. up clowce his his eyes are an ice water blue. she layed her head down to sleep. just as sleep was about to take her daverto curled up clowce to her. to clowce. inomay growled a worning to the male and he backed off a bit till he was about 3 yards away from her. sleep soon toulk them bouth.

*..............a light blue larger female came forward. alfabrena was momentarly stunned by the sight of her. 'Abini 'morning' had been the queen when the dragons had left those meny years ago."i always knew you would be the first hight queen since the death of Alere Flamman" said the dragon. "my lady" alfabrena gasped, dipping her head. 'Abini smiled at her then dipped her head to touch noses. "with this life i give you nobility and certainty and faith. use it well as you lead your people in the ways of old." alfabrenas shock of seeing the old queen had colapsed her defenses against the pain of gaining the life.she shared the fierceness of her ambition, the anguish she had suffered when her first born had died of illness, the ferocity of battle after battle in service of her people.the rush of power grew stronger and stronger until alfabrenas was sure she would burst.just as the pain reached its peck it began to subside, ending in a sense of calm acceptance and joy as what the ending of her final new life ment. she was high queen. the first since Alma Flamman. 'Abini rose to her feet with the others signalling to alfabrena to do the same. "i hail you high queen alfabrena." 'Abini announced. "your old life is over. you have received the 7 lives of a leader.may you grace your people with your widom untill the stars rain down from the heavens.""hail!"cried the clear rining voice of all alfabrena once known. and once again the dragons around her became shimmering orbs of silver star light.* alfabrena awoke to weak early morning light in the same clearing with the two young wolves sleeping at the edge of the surrounding trees.

devarto awake to the black she wolf staring at the dawn. she turned to him and signaled fot him to fallow. inomay wonderd the was she had come the night befor. after what seemed like 4 hours th e tow wolves reached a clearing with a dragon a white falkon and two wolves. "inomay queen you haved returned. and who is this with you?" asked the high queen alfabrena in a cool voice. "this" indicating to daverto " is the wolf we have been seeking. his name is daverto." said inomay wolf queen. with that said fell looked relived and untrusting. he did not like males around his mother... expeshaly after his fathers death.

"well then," said alfabrena. she swung her head down to look at daverto threw one of her saphire eyes. "if you are sure inomay-queen." she stood strait again looking down upon the new commer from her great hight. "i be alfabrena, daverto. seer, dreamspeaker, and high queen of the dragons. i suggest we move inomay-queen. we have stayed far to long here and your sister be approaching. she is less than a days journy from here."

"in a kindom of the north there lives the sika. the leader is maned laska. he has word of our comeing. we must pas though the forest of life first. but we cannot stray from the rivers or from the paths and trails" said inomay. "why is that?" asked the dragon. "you will get lost and will never finde your way out and you will die." said the wolf queen calmly.

the newly formed dragon staird down at the wolf then said sarcastickly, "well thats a good reason aint it?" the firey mark upon the dragons head glowed and her head shot up, looking toward the south. "we best move, your sister is drawing to close for my comfort and it appears that she has called severall dethkins to join her."

just as the queen fiished fell sprang to the front of the little group and led the way. fell was abut to hear the monsterd so he ran faster. but as he was running he triped. keiry sprouted wings and grabed fell and toulk flight. inomay did the same and graped daverto. alfabrana toulk to the skies in time to rip a monster from inomays now bleeding tail. they soom reached the edg of the forest. they landed and slowly enterd the, dark, decaying, misty forest.

the forest was poorly named.instead of being full of green leaves and moss, and animals it was completly abandond. the trees were dead and decaying, there wasnt an animal in sight and the smell of death was overwelming.to make it worse not even the keen eyes of the wolves bird or even dragon could see more then a few paces infront of them.

well not being abul to see infront of them was only hal true. inomay was used to darkness and this tested her. she led the wolves, dragon and falcon through the forest. "why is the forest called the forest of life?" asked alfebrana. "well long ago humans and evil chreachers would try to kill the dwelers of this beutiful forest. yes the was beutiful. so the elves and forest wolves blaced a spell on the outer parts of the forest.... but once you go far enough, if you make it, you will finde the beutiful forest still lingers behinde this col dead outer shell." inomay finished as she stared out into the darkness.

the wolf was right of cours.after travaling in silence for severl leages the odd group suddenly seemed to step over an invisable line between dark and dank to bright sunlight and life and sound. the springy emerald green moss was dappled with green-gold light streaming in from the high leafy crows of the towering trees as tall as the ann-thennath.

inomay looked tence. she know there was a part of her that she whanted to stay secret..the group continued. thay crased rivers, streems, and falen trees. soon they reesheached a part of the fprest where the trees where too thick to alouw sunlight through. but it was not compleat darkness. there where mushroums on the trees that glowed. "well welcom my queen" said a cool voice from above them. they looked up to see sevral forest wolves in the tree. the look on inomays face was that of sedness, happiness, and worrie. "have you come to colect your son?" asked the wolf. :i;m right here!" said fell annoyed. the white and green wolf looked at him. "not you yong one. the other son." he said tourning to inomay. " if inomay had no fur, she would have looked pail. " has he cased any truble?" inomay asked. "no now fallow me, my queen". said the wolf as he lept down to land beside them. fell was furious "why dident you tell ous we had a brother!" inomay remained silent "mother!" fell snareled about to snap at her. "FELL" keiry howled "leave her alone!" fell grunted and wonderd thwrds the back of the group.

alfabrenas thoughts were swirling in her mind making her slightly dissy.'so meny secrets' thought alfabrena grimly looking down at the wolf-queens back as they followed the forest wolves still farther into the forest. 'when ever will there not be secret between the races'alfabrena looked up at the trees into the green leaves.the dragon stopped so suddenly that keiry walked into one of her back legs. "hey!signal next time-whats wrong?"the dragon took a deep breath to steady herself and said, "nothing,my mind must be playing tricks on me......." alfabrena walked on but she wasnt paying attention to where she was placing her feet for she had a very strange feeling that she had not imagined the face she had seen in the leaves above her.

when they reached the heart of where the forest wolves lived the group stoped. "mother..." said a gruff voice. everyone except inomay looked at where the voice was comeing from. there was a wolf standing infrom of then with brown, red, and black markings. the marking where sharp and not natchual looking. alfabrena realized rightaway what the creacher was a mix of. 'it cant be' thought the dragon ' a dragon wolf mix? not a demon dragon and wolf mix'...."how could this be" muterd fell. the falcon just stard quietly.

alfabrena shook her head vigerously trying to ride the mad bussing that filed it. 'i dont understand' she thought looking down at this newist surprise. 'of course i havent been understanding much of the goings on around this wolf.' she thought grimly 'what next?'.

"im sorry son" inomay said looking at her paws. "sorry for what. abandoning me?" the dragon wolf spoke angerly "why mother?why did you leave me?" "i had to... if my sister found you lord knows what she would do.." said inomay "drake please forgive me." said inomay drake eyed his mother before he nodded and waged his tail and walked over to his siblings. "who is his father?" asked alfabrena. "the same as the others...." said inomay sadly. "then how... did... how did he end up like that?"asked the dragon sounding confused. "his father had very little demon in him.. and it was dragon.. and mine is wolf but also has little dragon in it as well. my demon and i are separate but some how this happened." so i left him here so he would be safe, hidden. not only for his protection but ours as well..." as the queen finished she looked older then she ever had. the dragon thought she saw a gray hair on her muzzle.

the dragon shook her head slowly, leting this new information about the odd wolf queen sink in.

the she wolf then slowly crewed off before anyone could notice. just as alfabrena turned to talk to drake.

alfabrena lay awake in the clearing the forest wolves had arranged for her. they said that it was where her predisesor had once stayed while visiting the forest. she lay looking up at the stars and the quarter moon unable to sleep. her body was screaming for it but her mind wouldnt slow down enough for her to. drake was an odd one, even more so then his mother which alfabrena would have thought impossibal.the dragon turned into a lioness and pased around her clearing. she changed back and lay back down. the leaves over head rusled and she looked up into them. had she imagined the face she had seen on the way to the wolves camp? the dragon sighed and closed her eyes and finaly feel asleep with the eyes of her dead kin gazing down at her.

inomay had wondered off to a place she had visited once before... as she stared into the pool at the base of a tree she herd rusaling behind her she saw a face rushing at her. back to where the forest wolves where talking to fell keiry and drake they herd a blood cordaling cry. "MOTHER" the 3 young wolves howled in unison, and dashed off in the direction of the scream. alfabrena also her the scream.

alfabrena woke with a gerk and a growl. the high queen of the dragons roared, transformed into a hawk and speed of toward the spot the cry had come from ready to fight to kill to help and protect her companions.

at that instant the 'face' rushed her and she screamed she passed out. when the wolves got to where their mother had last been. all that was there was their mother sent another sent and their mother's blood. just then the dragon landed in her mighty form.

the dragon breathed in the new scent and recieved a shock. she knew that scent but she hadnt breathed it in a very long time. alfabrena chuckled as the shock wore off.
"whats so funny!?"shrieked kiery.
"our mother has been napped and you just laugh?"fell growled, advancing on the dragon.
"peace children of inomay,"alfabrena said through her chuckles."your mother is fine. apparently an old friend of mine wishes to speak with me and right away if his actions are anything to go by."

the black shewolf was in a dimly lit room. she tryed to stand up but she was within a barrier that was to small for her to stand. a figur stud over her 'i hope that pain in the ass of a dragon gets here soon' thought the shewolf

the three wolves and the dragon headed back to the center of the forest wolves camp where they, mainly the dragon, spoke of what happened and said they'd best take off right away to find inomay.
"drake, you have wings true?" asked alfabrena. drake nodded. "then you and kiery fly as always, i shall take fell."
alafabrena curled her claws around fells center gently saying, "do us both a favore son of inomay and do try not to wigle.as long as you do that and you shall be hamed in no way."
she pushed off with her hind legs, the claws digging in and sooping out chunks of earth. drake and kiery following right behing the blue-purple swirled dragon as she flew toward the peaks of the red mountains.

Drake noded and sprouted Red,copper and black dragon wings, he grabed his sister and fallowed the dragon queen. an hour into thier journy fell and kiery where asleep. "So what all can you do young dragon wolf?" said the the deep soothing voice of the queen. "i can breathe fier, grow my claws and retract then... i can oviously fly... i can also turn into a full dragon IF my very life depends on it, or i loose too much blood... but i become very dangerous, i will kill anyone and everyone..." drake finished.

alfabrena frowned. she shook her head then frowned again in concentration trying to remember where her old friends cave was in the vast expanse of the red mountains. from the begining of time the red montains had been the spring and summer home of the dragons, but since her people had abandend her in their winter home of the old woods no dragon had been here. alfabrena swept down the side sides of the monsterous peaks heading for the rocky foot hill that was her friends home.
she gently reached into the minds of the two sleeping wolves and pulled them into wakefulness. "we are here," said the dragon queen in her soothing liquid voice, when she felt the two open their eyes. she slowed as the hill came into view. she landed lightly on the sharp rocks, placed fell in a small clear area, and folded her wings in one smooth motion. imediatly she felt the presense of her frind inside her mind. the three wolves lifted their furred snouts and growled as the unfimiliar scent reached them.
"peace, children of inomay," alfabrena soothed, her voice unmistakebly easining the wolves slightly. "that be the old friend of mine you scent.
"but," said kiery, looking up at the dragon confused, "thats the scent of a-"
"it took you long enough to get her alfabrena,"came a strong gravly voice from the shadows of the rocks. two pinpoints of flashing eyes marked the entrance of another. out of the shadow came an enormous male wolf. he was as big and harry as a full grown male black bear, with silvery gray fur and a black stripe down his back that widened at his back stretching from his black nose to the tip of his pume of a tale.
"is that anyway to great an old friend bale wolf?" asked alfabrena with a smile and a chuckle on her voice. the old wolf grunted and turned his old lively eyes on the three young wolves.
"youd be the naggy ones cubes, eh?"bale wolf asked, sniffing the air.
"this be fell, kiery, and drake. cubs of inomay yes," said alfabrena, strugling and failing to hide a laugh.
the wolf growled in respones and turned to her, "youd all better follow me. maybe shell shut up once i let her out of the mind trap."
"mind trap?" "whats that?" "what have you done to our mother?" said the three wolves.
"you lot our as bad as she is,"he growled.
alfabrena chuckled deep in her voice and turned to answer the worried and infuriated wolves. "a mind trap is an illusion of bars surounding the 'victum' that only the traped can see makeing them think they are caged and can go no where while there is actualy nothing stoping them."
"nah i had to make it stronger than that for that one,"bale wolf growled over his shoulder. "had to make it so that she could feel them. she dont like being trapped that one."

inomay screamed and charged at the bars. throwing her backwards. she rose again and repeated this sevral times. all the whiel cursing and snearing about how she is going to mame the fuzzy brained mutt that held her there. "HEY! you mutt u better let me out of here, or i vow i will castrate u and then rip i limb from limb!" the black shewolf howled and charged the bars again. just as she hit the bars her pups and the dragon enterd fallowed by her capter. Damed Mutt who dose he think he in and what is he doing with my pups and the DRAGON QUEEN! "hello inomay, i see ur faring well."chukeled the dragon. "HOW THEN HELL CAN U STAND THERE AND GIGGEL WHEN I'M TRAPED IN A FUCKING CAGE LIKE SOME MANGY DOG, LIKE MUTT FACE OVER THERE!" yelled the black wolf. "hey mutt face let me out allredy or i will kill you!" "i dont see a cage" said the dragon queen. this pissed inomay off event more "You damed mutt let me out NOW!" sneared inomay. "STOP CALLING ME THAT! i'm a wolf inomay queen." he snaered in he very annoyed voice. "well last time i cheked the only ones who cage wolves are the very few humans and Dog Demons... or in ur case a bare dog demon cross.. so then your not only a half demon but ur a BARE DOG MUTT!" ranted inomay as she snareled andher eyes starting to turn red. then she slamed into the bars again.

"inomay, if you keep that up your going to hurt yourself,"said alfabrena, cocking her head to one side. this only caused the wolven queen to slamm more vilently into the bars only she could see. alfabrena sighed and looked to the enormous wolf beside her. "youd better let her out bale wolf." the old wolf snorted and looked at the dragon quizicaly. "why dont you do it alfabrena. show your old mentor how much you remamber from our classes." these words stopped inomay dead in the middle of another attach on the bars. "mentor?YOU KNOW THIS OLD FLEA BAG!" "of course i know him.he is an old friend and mentor."said alfabrena still looking shocked at her old mentor. "go on kid. if your skills are anything like your mothers this should be easy.go on, go on." "all right, all right,"said alfabrena. she took a deep breath and closed her eyes. in another moment the bars cageing inomay in her mind.

inomay was freed. she looked at the large wolf with an annoyed look. "hey MUTT FACE do you know when the full moon will be?"

the old wolf snarreld. alfabrena could see the sharp come back on her old mentors toung. she quickly warned him by mind and answered, "tomarrow night is the full moon."

inomays face when white the next evning as the sun set. "alphabrena... can you lock me in that cage thing mutt face had me in?" "why?" asked the dragon. "i'm going to turn into a monster.... and i will kill you if i'm not contained" answerd the sad wolf. the dragon did as she was asked. soon the moon rose. inomay started screaming, red marking spreding up her legs and tail. soon she had a dimend on her forhead with 3 tearderops swerling around it. her eyes where red and her fangs longer. she smieled wickedly. she had grown to the size of a horse her claws wher silver. "who are you! Are you the demon that learks within this wolf?" growled the dragon. "why do you ask? i'm your friend inomay." the wolf sneared. her voice was ecoed and was demonic sounding. "no demon who are you" growled the dagon. "oh me. i'm akakiba." the demon laughed. "as i thought we meat again" said the dragon. drake sat watching with an unreadabul expretion. his black,red and whit cote brisaling every time akakiba spoke. fell and keiry wher shocked. he know better than to say anyones names. he has his times when his demon will brake through. so he sat quietly in the corner.

daverto watched as the dragon on inomay's pups toulk to the sky. he started fallowing them on foot. he ran and ran. untill he reached to cave where iinomay was being held. when he enterd he was in shock. the others where staring in disbelife at what was there friend and mother. she was in her demon form. stron demonic and crazed. as he enterd the demon inomay tourned to look at him and snickerd "i was begining to wonder where you where" stated the demon.

alfabrena whiped her head around to see daverto standing stock still in the entrance way. she stepped between akakiba and the odd forest wolf, and gently touched minds with him. 'peace daverto,' she soothed him, gathering the wolf in a calming lavender light that she sensed it begin working emmediately. 'you see before you what lies hidden inside inomay-queen. akakiba. take care and stay back. he is in a mind trap. as long as it holds and we keep an eye on him we shall be perfectly safe.' she opened her mind to the rest and added, 'we must not speak out loud, and exspecialy do not speak out loud eachothers names. he will use them to get inside your head. if you must speek you may do so through either me our bale wolf.' 'no they may not. im going to take a nap,' bale wolf said threw the mind conection. and he curled up in a corner and soon enough grazly snors started eminating, surprisonly softly, from the bear of a wolf.

daverto noded to the dragon and sat next to drake. the dragon varg looked at the earth toned forest wolf. then he saw is newly found siblinga about to aproch thier moyher. 'NO! brother, sister you bmust stay back you, must not speak and you must not say echothers names. you may only talk to the dragon. only throught thoughts. i will explain when mother is her self' the two wolves looked at thier long lost brother and sat in the corner next to him and daverto. "cowerds! let me out! Let me taste blood I NEED BLOOD!" the demon said as her eyes turned red.

the dragons scales turned to a mixture of red and orange till she looked like an unkept flame. "you shall not taste blood this night, akakiba," said the dragon, her ivory,knife like fangs bared. the venom in the high queens voice shocked the young wolves. they had never heard her use any voice other than deep and sothing, or light and full of humor. they didnt like this new found voice the dragon used while speaking to the deamon that was truly their mother.the power of the voice made their bones ache.kiery let slip an in volintary whimper. alfabrena felt the wolves unease and blanketed them in a swirl of golden, protective, and lavender, calming light.

"don't humer me dragon" said the demon with humer in his demonic voice. "but by all means continue. i like seeing you mad." the demon laughed. "now i need blood. any of you want to valintear? how about you dear?" seared the demon, looking at keiry. "you stay away from her!" snaped Fell. "and what is your name... oh right its fell." Drake stud up with the dragon queen looked shocked. "yes thats right i know his name. as a mater of fact i know all of your names" said the demon with a grin. 'this is not good' thought daverto and drake.

'no, it is not' alfabrena answered. the high queen shook her great head,making the air swirl, snorted and turned her back on the deamon. she lay down facing the entrance, looking at the stars, with both ears still trained on the deamon behind her. 'we must not give him the satisfaction of shocking us. try to ignor him. he'll where himself out trying to get our attention.' she thought to the others.

akakiba layed down acting like he was sleeping. just as everyone finaly whent to sleep the demon walked out of the minde cage. he soon spotted daverto laying in the corner farthest fom him. he walked over to him, standing above him glaring. his demon eyes vained with inomays golde as she fought the demon trying to save the one she had come to see as friend. the demon bent down and just as he was about to bite his neck daverto's eyes shot open. he scrambeled to i feet biteing at the demon carful to to case too much damege. ' she is not herself, i cant hurt her... why is it that as i fight the demon i cant fight back?... why do i feel this way?' the earthen pelted wolf thought. soon he was almost limp in the demon's mouth. the camotion awoke the others. befor anyone could do anything the demon lept from the cave with the wolf still in his powerfull jaws. by the time the others found them it was day brake. inomay was back to her self soobing over a heap of fur. the dragon feared the worst as she aproched. inomay looked into the dragons eyes. to the hight queen's suprize inomays eyes where almost white with a hint of yellow. the shewolf was a mess cut up bleeding from the head. the dragon turned her atention to daverto. to her relife he was still alive. "i-i-i d-did th-this to h-him" she sobed shakeing. "its ok little one i be a healer he will be fine." cooed the dragon "HOW CAN YOU SAY IT WILL BE OK? look what i did... i should have left when i had the chance-" "ENOUGH" boomed alfebrena "i will not hear such talk from a queen, non the less you, inomay. you are strong and you could not fight akakiba but you did not kill him." sha said indacating to the wolf at her feet. with that the dragom engalfed the crumpeled wolf on the growned in a green light. soon he was blinking and standing. he looked at inomay who looked away. "INOMAY!" he gasped as he say how tetterd looking she was. "what hapened to you?" he asked sounding a little too conserned as he bagan to sniff her to see if something or someone did this and who it was. "you meen it be not you who did this to her?"questioned the dragon "of corse not! i could never hurt inomay. yes akakiba was controwling her but it was still her body and she was still in there" said the forest wolf. "what was the last thing you remember?" asked bale wolf as he trutted up looking reprochfully at inomay who tucked her tail and looked down. "i remember her screaming and smashing her head aganst a tree... is that what happened to you?" asked daverto.

later on that night inomay had refused the dragons help to heal her wonds. the scar on her nose was more prominent now. she was sitting at the mouth of the cave to the old wolf's den and staring at the cresent moon. "hey" came a tierd and slightly husky voice. inomay turned her head to see daverto. by now every one was asleep so inomay was cunfused as to why he was still awake non the less talking to her. "hello" came her shy replie, shame written all over her beutifull feachurs. "why arent you asleep? you where to one who fought the hardest event ask the tree" said daverto with humor in his voice. 'what is that look in his eyes... i have seen the look befor but it was.... it cant be could it' she thought "i should be asking you the same thing" came her calm reply. "well i whantd you to know that i forgive you event though thee is nothing to forgive." he said as he licked the side of her muzzel. she blinked and turned to him as he layed down paw streched out in front of him. she smieled and rested her muzzel on his frunt paws and scooted her body clowse to his, with him resting his head on hers. she waged her tal as she drifted to sleep. thay where unawar that thay where being watched, and that dragons always sleep with one eye open.

alfabrena felt the two wolves drift to sleep. the high queen lifted her head and watched the two at the entrence. an odd sound rose in her throat. it was a cross between a laugh and a large cats purr. she looked around at the others spred around the cave sleeping. from the stripes of silver and black that was kiery and fell. the swirl that was drake. the silver orb that was the white hawk, perched on a stump that alfabrena had moved into the cave for her. and bale wolf, the gruff, sharp-tunged, bear of a wolf that was her dear friend, counsel, and mentor.
a swft moving black shape, hidden in the shadows of the rocks outside the cave. countless white, pupilis orbs flouting out of the darkness. low growls and white fangs reflecting the moonlght. she didnt need to think. alfabrena leapt to her feet, opened her mouth wide, pulling her lips back to the gums, roaring, making the earth shake to its foundations. white hot flames rushed from her open mouth, right over inomay and davertos heads, vaperizing a quarter of the shadows forcing others to shriek and slink back. alfabrena leapt forward, scopped up the two wolves and drew them back to the others. "DEAFKIN!!!!!!" roared the high queen, "they have found us!!!!!!"

befor inomay had time to be sheepish about her and daverto, the deafkins where at the cave entrance with the dreagon fighting them. inomay transformed into a where wolf with black angel wings and blue eyes vained with yellow. fell know what that form was for, protecting her loved ones. he had no see his mother look like that sence his befor his sister and his father died. inomay lepted from the mouth of the cave. daverto was standing at the mouth of the cave shooting what looked like arrows of green light at the enemy. drake transformed into a big broght red and black dragon. his narrow snout blazting red flames at the enomay and his green eyes flared with anger. the falcon darted here and there attacking when ever she could. fell lepted in and fought with an rabid animalisci rage the likes no one had everseen. keiry wimperd and bale wolf pushed her down telling her to stay poot. inomay was killing deafkings left and right with one blow at a time. one was about to attack her from behinde when daverto yelled and shot it with a light arrow.

more deafkins flowed from the shadows. a white dot came into view, floating threw the darkness, coming toward them quickly. as the dragons fire lit up the night they could see hundreds of wolves pouring of the ridge right behind angle. "RETREAT!!!!" called bale wolf. "inomay!take kiery!drake, fell!alfabrena to me!" the others hesitated befor alfabrena whipped around and grabed up her mentor gentally in her claws and took flight. "fly!" cried alfabrena from the air above them. "there are to many.fee!FLY!"

as the others flou off drake grabed daverto and toulk off. he was in his wolf form with large red dragon wings. the darfkings where prusowing them. daverto was shooting them untill the stoped fallowing them. the flow untill they reached laska's casel. it was neseled nxt to a moutain. it was surawnded by a thick forest and i perminat winter. when they landed at the gates a large dog-wolf greated them "inomay! sister come, you are welcome." said a very large wolf dog. his mane was blowing in the nonexisten breez. his flopy lab like ears where perked up hapily. he was very furry and looked very kind. ha also helld himself like a lord. "Uncle Laska!"cried fell and keiry at the same time. the older male smiled and waged his bushy tail and gided them to the casel. "would you like dinner?" asked the dog-wolf. "oh we are starving" growned drake as he waged his tail. "right this way" there was a low tabel for then to sit at. there was a freshly prepared meal whateing for them. laska sat at the head with inomay and her pups next to him on ither side. the draken sat at the far end. the dragons eyes grouw wide at the site of her plate. when they finished he bid them goodnight and sent servents to gide them to thier rooms. inomay did not know this but laska sented the relationship between her and daverto. and that is why he had the pups sleep in one room the dragon in her own room sooted for her kind, bale wolf had his room. but to inomay's curiosity he had daverto and her sharing a room. when they enterd it was lavished in the colors of the artic dog-wolf kindom. purpel and white. there where trees in the room along with windows lineing the wall to let the moon shine through. there where sweet potaro vines (a purpel vine nothing to do with yams) all over. in the far end of the room was a piel of dear skins and furs draped over a piel of dried leaves for them to sleep on. the two curled up on the furs together and fell into a deep sleep.
