alfabrena opened her eyes to see she was lying on a ledge high above where the others lay like odd dots on the mountainside.as she stood she relized she was in her wolf form with royal blue fur, but with something added.her fur looked as though she had been powered with stardust, and every time she took a step a small cloud of the silver dust would flout up and swirl around her paws. she looked across the ledge to see she wasnt alone. a red wolf almost as big as bale wolf sat on the otherside looking out across the space beyond where inomay and andre had wondered off to.alfabrena cocked her head, ears pricked. the wolf turned his light, glowing, blood red eyes to her as she padded toward him. "welcome alfabrena," the dregga growled in a low, somewhat lite voice. "do i know you?" alfabrena asked cocking her head to the otherside. "no.we never had the pleasure."he answered. "i am red. i was inomays mate way back when." they looked down to where the others lay sleeping.alfabrena slowly sat next to red, waiting to hear what he had to say, the reason she was here. "i am happy she has at last moved on."he finaly said, breaking the comfortable silence. "has finaly moved on in her life. andre was a good choice for her.they will be happy together." "is that why i am here?" alfabrena asked. red looked at her slowly and said, "your the dreamspeaker. you tell me."

inomay know she could not withstand what nature was telling her. she HAD to mate. she signaled this to andre by rubing her tail in his face as she wonderd off into the forest. he fallowed her and vanished into the forest with her.
the next day the dragon and bale wolf awoke to the two wolves sleeping. bale wolf sniffed the air and noticed something difrent about the drappa's sent.

Andre shifted in his sleep as he felt a cold breeze blow over his fur. He whined a little without meaning to and curled closer to Inomay. He woke a moment later to the scent of Bale wolf closer than normal. His eyes opened, his ears perked up and he looked at the large wolf. "Can I help you?" Andre asked politely though sightly aggravated being awakened from his sleep.

"your scents have changed,"bale wolf growled, warningly, looking from andre to the wolven queen beside him. "this is no time for slow downs.exspecialy new boren pups.and no time for foolish prancing about by young ones" andre frowned opening his mouthe to argue about being called young. he was quickly silenced by bale wolf shoving his head toward him so they were looking directly into eachothers eyes, so andre had no choice but look strait into the elders icey blue eyes. "do not argure.by my years you are barley pups yourselves.if you learn just one thing from your doings then learn and remember this:one skrew up and we all die.no second chances.remember that, pup." and the grizly bear like wolf walked away.turning on his heal and stalking back to where alfabrena sat in her royal blue wolf form, stairing blankly up at the peack of the mountain.

inomay awoke when bale wolf said pups and she know what he ment. she closed her eyes and found the the life growing inside her. it was dim yes, but it was there. she could sence 6 little lives bruing inside of her. 6! wow thats a lot. she opened her eyes and licked andre's face and got up and started down the path, fallowed by her pack. as they traveled for days. after about a week they reached the entrence of a cave that was where the moutain wolves lived. by now inomay was starting to show signs of her pregnancy. she was still about 4 weeks away but still u could tell. as thay where about to enter they where attacked by the shadow wolves her sister was controwling. then out of the cave staped a dark unicorn. the equine charged at the grupe and nailed inomay in the side sliceing her. she screamed in pain and fell in a pool of her own blood. alrabrena rored and sent a stream of flaims at th equine. the black and red beast jumped out of they way and disipeared into the forest along with the other wolf like monsters.

Andre's heart had about stopped when he heard the scream of his mate, and grew weak as he looked behind himself to see her lying in a pool of blood with a gash in her side. "Inomay!" He yelled and took off for her. He skid to a halt next to her and stared at her for a moment, dumbstruck. He could feel tears welling up inside him. He layed down beside her and put his face near hers, licking her muzzle and whining with her, entirely unsure what he needed to do.

"if you would move to the side please andre." said alfabrena, snakeing her neck over to the two.andre snarled and tried to snap at the dragon but was cut short as bale wolf gave a raor like cry and clamped his teeth into the scruf of the fox-wolfs neck, draging him yelping and snaraling away from his injured mate. alfabrena closed her eyes, bowed her head down till it was barley touching the black she-wolfs fur.she sent soft tendrals of thought toward the injured wolf, and blew a green healing light onto the bloodstained fur. imediatly the wound heald, a moment later inomay gasped and opened her eyes. she looked quickly from bale wolf who was holding a limp andre up by his scruff, to the dragon who had just saved her, and saw sadness there. 'inomay,' alfabrena said softly in her mind, 'i am so sorry.i have some bad news.'

as soon as alfabrena told inomay that she lost two of her pups she let out a howl that could have made saten himself cry. the mornful sound reached andre who ran from bale wolf to his mates side. she sat there crying and whineing into her mate's fur. the sight of the broken she-wolf made tears come to the dragon's eyes. soon andre and inomay where leting out mornful howls, and lieing on the ground. inomay whimperd into andre's side and said "i love you andre.... i wish this did not have to happen... i have the sight, i should have seen it coming..."

Andre curled up tighter against his mate and whined. "It's not your fault love, don't blame yourself..." He said the words gently and quietly in an attempt to ease her.

bale wolf walked up to them and staired down at andre with an 'i told you so' kind of look. "do not take the loss out on yourself.all is as it should be." "he is right,"alfabrena said calmly, looking down upon the two with kind, liqued eyes. "what happens, happens for a reason.always.do not dwell apon it.the past is in the past and cannot be undone.come.while the sun still shines upon the land we must move on.we cannot linger."

inomay whimperd as she stood. she then led them down into the caverns of the wolves who lived there.

Andre followed close behind Inomay, keeping his senses strong just in case anything was about to happen again.

nothing did and the group traveled on in silence, untill they reached a large cavern lit with low torches.

the room was dimly lit, just the way the mountian wolves liked it. the room was large with high valted ceilings. sitting at the end of the room was a large... vary larg brown and tan wolf. the earthen toned wolf lord looked at inomay, when he saw her he smiled. but when he saw she was with pup his smile faded slightly. "INOMAY! my Qeen! Welcome to the home of my people." said the wolf lord in a loud booming voice. "my thanks lord Kar." inomay said with athority. "what an honor it is to have you here event when your with pup." siad kar with a slight amoutn of venom in his voice. inomay glared at him and said "we came here to ask if you will join us in the fight against my sister Angel." i will consider it. would you like a place to stay? you can stay in the best chambers reserved for only the most inportant pearsons." he said with a smug grin. inomay never liked kar he was always looking for power. kar's eyes fell on bella who was standing next to her mother. her entier being just screemed domenance. she was just like her mother in that sence. inomay noticed this and steped infront of her pup and glared. "that will be fine, bella is to stay with the dragon and the bear wolf. " inomay stated. 'dragon bella will stay with you two, she is saferwith you.' inomay said to alfabrena with her mind. 'i agree wolf, i do not trust him.' with that inomay was about to fallow one of the gards to her chambers when andre was stoped. "i said it was for important people not just a servant!" gorwled. "SILENCE!!" howled inomay "you will speak to NO wolf, fox or coyote that way. Also he is my mate, he gos where i go." with that she turned to fallow the gard with andre close behind.

Andre padded along behind Inomay, his eyes travelling around the passageways as they went along, looking for anything that should not be the way it was. He had a bad feeling from these wolves, but that was only due to the first impressions of the wolf King and his guard. His ears remained perked up, his head low, and his tail level with the ground, just in case he had to make a spur of the moment reaction.

'that wolf is no good,' alfabrena comented to the group threw her mind as they all followed the lone guard. 'no.hes not.' the others said together. 'he has no right to any throne.'said bale wolf. 'let alone the throne of the mountain wolves.' inomay added. the tunnel ceiling was slowly lowering forcing alfabrena to change into a sleek couger, well formed for both battle and fleeing just in case.

inomay and andre where led into a very nice cavern with thick silk drapes covering the doorway. the two enterd and looked around. there were purpel and ritch blue cover pillows and silks. inomay and andre lied on the bed of pillows and tryed to sleep.

As they entered the room Andre looked around with awe. "This is amazing..." He commented to himself then followed his mate over to the pillows. When she laid down he laid down behind her and curled around her, setting his head gently on her neck. He closed his eyes and began to purr quietly, though he was not quite ready for sleep yet. He felt too uneasy around these unfamiliar wolves.

alfabrena, bale wolf, and bella were to stay in the cave next to inomay and andres. they were funished much the same with silks and pillows. bella was about to lay down when alfbrena stoped her gently. "perhaps you should sleep farthest from the doorway bella," she stated quitly, never taking her eyes away from the opening. with a slight probing from inomay to do as the dragon said, bella nodded glancing at the doorway as well. bale wolf layed closest to the opening with alfabrena next and bella last.

soon after the group had fallen asleep inomay awakens. and she know why and starts to panic. she started to dig at her bedding and whining in pain. Andre's eyes shot open as he herd his mate's whimpering. "inomay whats wrong?!" he yelped. but before inomay could answer her water broke. she was early... about a week and half early. but nothing she could do about it now. 'AMFABRENA!!!!' inomay called to the dragon in her head. she howled in pain. something was wrong! it should not hurt this bad. she howled again and calapsed with her mate by her side.

Andre, not knowing what exactly to do or entirely what was going on, he turned his head toward the door and yelled. "Dragon! Bale wolf! Get in here! Inomay needs help and I don't have any clue what to do!"

alfabrena jerked her head up with a threataning growl in her throut when she heard the wolfs frantic cry. she looked to either side of her to see bale wolf and bella sleeping peacefully. she shook her head, mind still clouded with sleep, 'it must have been a dream.' yet, something was wrong. she lay down her head again. "Dragon! Bale wolf! Get in here! Inomay needs help and I don't have any clue what to do!" alfabrena sprang to her paws at andres plea. with a yowl from her cougar mouth she sprang over a startled bale wolf and skitered into the others room with a teeth jarring screatch as she used her claws to push herself faster.

Inomay lay panting on her side. Her labor was more painful then it should have been. She would know, her last litter was with a half demon so her pups had claws. She sat there whimpered as alfabreana entered the room. The dragon know there was something horribly wrong with this picture. One inomay was way to early, and two she saw inomay was bleeding. Inomay yowled in pain. Andre ran to her and placed his face next to her.

Andre whined, very afraid for his mate. He hadn't a clue what was happening, mostly because he wasn't expecting the litter for another week or so, and his mate seemed to be in terrible pain. He gently nuzzled his head next to hers and continued to whine. He then looked up at the dragon with a pleading look. "What's wrong dragon? Why is she like this? What's going on?"

"she is premature. other than that i am not sure." she looked deep into the fox wolfs eyes and said, "i may have to let the pups go if i am to save her. it will be up to you, pups or inomay. but hopefuly it will not come to that."

inomay hearing what the dragon said shreaked "NO! You will NOT kill my pups!." she stopes to breath "if it comes to it u may have to cut them out of me. if u do it right, dragon, me and the pups will live" with that inomay yelped and she curled up, than sparwaled again. inomay closes her eyes for a moment, but they soon shot open when she felt a pup comeing. she sat up panting and shot a pleading look at the dragon to come over and help. soon after another minut of a pup came. the bale wolf took the pup, considering inomay was in to condition to worrie about cleaning it. the pup was small but seemed to be filled with fight. the little wolf pup looked more ike the dad then the mother. it had some red and black markings along its sholders and face, but it was orange tan like its father. under closer inspection bale wolf found the pup to be female.

Andre scooted back a ways to allow Bale wolf and the dragon enough room to help Inomay. He wanted to be close to her, but he knew he would only be in the way. He laid on the ground staring at the three, very worried, but a small hint of pride in his heart seeing the pups.

"give that one to andre,"alfabrena whispered to bale wolf, "im goin to need your help here i think." as he went she started to drag her tail over the wolfs heaving side. her ceca had taught her this trick long ago to south the straining muscles so that the mother would not unwilinly crush her own young while trying to bring them into the world. a spasm rent threw the she wolfs body, another pup was coming. soon the pup came and joined the world. it was slightly bigger then the last but not by much.it was black like its mother but had a blaze of white on its chest, on its back was a beautiful patern in its fathers color. it was like a sun burst with twisting streaks bursting from the core in the center of the pups back. "heres another!"alfabrea called to the others. "male!" she added as bale wolf came to take the pup toward his sister out of the way of its coming siblings.

after 30 more aginizing minuts inomay had birthed 6 pups... 2 she know where alredy dead after the incounter with the dark unicorn. she was still recovering and waiting to be reunighte with her pups, but she was to tired to object to the others looking at them as inomay sleped.

Andre lie where he was, cleaning off the small pups that Bale wolf had brought over and placed between his paws. One of them really caught his attention. It was a lovely pitch black in color, darker than his mate, and it had a stripe going down it's back that was the same color as his darkest patches of fur. It also had a crescent moon shaped patch of fur on it's left eye that was white. Upon further inspection he noticed that it was a male. He finished cleaning the pup then watched as the small creatures wriggled around amongst each other between his paws, and he glanced up at his mate every now and again to make sure she was fine.

"there is to much blood,"alfabrena said grimly. "aye,"bald wolf answered flatly. "keep an eye on the door. i dont think the mountain wolves will atach the pups while we are here but, just in case." blae wolf noded and turned his back on the two watching the door with one eye and the pups and their father with the other. alfabrena closed her eyes and washed the she-wolf in a green light, seeking where the blood flode from. she found it and sealed it. she puled back and let the tired mother sleep in peace, taking up the watch of the door and pups with bale wolf.

inomay did not sleep long for she know her pups needed to feed. "Andre, let me see them." said the tired she-wolf. andre picked up the little female first, and set it next to her mother. inomay thought of what she was going to call her little one. "kalla..." mutterd inomay as she looked at the little pup. soon andre brought over the other two pups and set the between him and inomay. the pups began to nirse as inomay layed her head on andre's paws. he licked her face, and rested his on her neck. andre looked at the open door as bella walked in. she was warry becaus, mother wolves rarely let the pack this close to their pups this early. the dragon was bussy with the 3 still born pups when she turned to bella. "u can look but do not wake your mother." said the dragon. inomay whimperd in her sleep and nuzzled her mate.

Andre remained there with his mate, their pups between the two of them, nursing somewhat loudly. He smiled as he took a deep breath, enjoying the scent of his mate before he closed his eyes. }I'll have to think of names while I sleep...{ He thought to himself just before he dozed off into a peaceful slumber once more.

'apricus'.alfabrena heard a voice whisper in her ear,tickling the soft fur inside.she twitched her ear and glanced at bale wolf and the others. andre and inomay were asleep on the coushins with bella siting a liitle aways staring at her new half siblings with soft eyes.bale wolf was as still and grim as ever beside her. who had said that? 'apricus', whispered the voice in her ear once more. now that she had heard it again alfabrena could tell that the voice wasnt that of any of her companions. 'apricus'this time with the voice came a picture. a shagy black wolf with a white blaze down his chest, stricking green eyes and a rusty red sunburst on his back. 'apricus' now alfabrena understood. it wasnt a word,it was a name.
the next morning began with a serious discusion between inomay and andre over what to name the other two male pups. after a moments hesitation alfabrena broke in. "if you dont mind i have a suggestion." the two paused, andre looking curious, inomay stunned. "you do?"the new mother inquried. "aye." the dragon queen answered. "the male with the sunburst on his back. a fiting name could be apricus, meaning 'loveing the sun' in the a version of the dragons toung."

inomay smiled "Apricus...." mumbeled inomay as she nuzzled the pup. andre licked her ear and looked at the dragon with a smile. bella had been talking to bale wolf about becomeing his new student, and the dragon was talking to the wto proud parents. "my love i think you should name the last pup." the fox wolf looked at her as if to say 'really?' she nodded and licked him.

Andre stared hard at the pup for a few minutes, trying to think of a name for him. He wasn't normally too great at coming up with names. His parents pointed that out to him once while he was telling stories to his younger siblings. He thought for a while longer then looked up at his mate with a questioning look. "The best one I am managing to come up with is Eihjiro."

alfabrena cocked her head saying, "what an odd name.what is its origin?"

inomay, ignoring the dragon's question, said "i like it." she licked his face. but the happy moment was not ment to last. there where soon voices and the sound of paws on stone comeing to the room. inomay growled and curled around her pups. fur briseling, and her fangs bared. a cupple gards enterd, but apon seeing the mother protecting her pups, the gards backed out of the roon. its wolf instinct to stay away from another's pups. but soon the last wolf thay wanted to see, walked right into the room. Kar servayed the seen. he sat there and drooled over bella before the sound of a whineing pup, got his atention. "Well well well, look what we have here." he said turning his head to the snarling she-wolf. "GET. GRRR! A-. GRRR! WAY!" snarled the mother, her mate standing over the curled up black she-wolf. Kar just smiled. he cought a glimce of the puck with the sun birst. "intresting looking pups.... mind if i have a look?" he said and steped forword.

Andre turned to the dragon and smiled at her. "My mentality." He said, answering her question. Andre's ears twitched and his attention snapped to the door where he saw two of the wolf guards. Instantly, due to instinct, he placed himself over his mate and their pups. He wore no expression, save a glare that simply said "Go away." When they backed out he settled down a little, and just as he was about to move, Kar walked in. He instantly got back over her and his brows furled into a frown. He simply listened to the wolf's comments, and listened to his angry mate growl at him. The very isntant he took a step forward, an entire change went over Andre. The hair on the back of his neck shot straight up, his tail bushed out, his fangs bared, and his claws almost seemed to lengthen, though he was simply making them more visible to the intruding male. "Don't you take another step towards our pups, wolf." Andre growled angrily, not bothering to give him the respect of saying his name. "Or I'll tear you apart." Andre himself didn't know where this fury came from. He supposed it was simply instinct, though he himself was still surprised. He also doubted if he would be able to cary out this threat of his, because the male wolf was atleast two times his size. After all, Andre's main breed was fox. He was only as large as his mate because of the wolf blood that also flowed through his veins.

"enough,"alfabrena said crisply, stepping between the wolf and couple with their pups. "leave now lord kar." the wolf instantly turnd on the dragon snaraling. "you have no right to comand me dragon." alfabrenas sense of calm seemed to spread to her companions. "i have every right kar. i am seer, dreamspeaker, and high queen of the dragons. but most importantly i am inomay-queens midwife and so have quite enough power to tell you to leave.now." kar snarled, turned on his heel and bounded from the room but stopping just to bark back over his shoulder to them all, "this isnt over."
unseen by them all, bale wolf forced his fur down, his claws to shorten, the growl to die from his throut, and sighed out the breath he had been holding when alfabrena had stood up against the lord of the mountain wolves. alfabrena may have been a dragon but she was the closest thing he had to a daughter. 'im geting to old for this whole battle and war thing.' he thought to himself now, sighing again shaking his shaggy silver head.

inomay know they needed to leave... but they could not travel the pass with pups so young to be moved. they would have to stay at least a week. she did not like the idea. Kar was going to try to mate her older pup to gain power. she was not going to let that happen. "dregon, mutt face, promis me, that no mater what happens you will protect bella and my pups." inomay had this look that could make anyone cry. the bare wolf and dragon nodded as inomay turned to andre. she smiled and nuzzeled her pups cleaning Eihjiro. she licked her mates face, then continued to clean the pup. bella walked over but inomay growled. bella understoud. mother wolves only let their mates near the pups for the first week. bella desided to go bug bale wolf and see if she could get him to teach her something.

Andre curled around behind his mate and stared at the tiny balls of fur and watched while Inomay cleaned them.

alfabrena sighed. this was the first time she had been a midwife and she was worried. she didnt know why but she was. bale wolf somehow got himself detached from bella and wondered over. "that child is going to be the death of me," he groled sourly. alfabrena laughed quietly, "thats what you said about me all those years ago and yet here you are, fitter then ever id say." bale wolf grunted. "so youd say." alfabrena glanced at him frowning but decided not to push the topic any farther.

that night inomay could not sleep. it had been a week sence she had given birth, and her pups where healthy. she had not been outside but she know that tomarrow night was the full moon. she was tarrified. "andre..." he opened his eyes and looked at his lover, "yes love?" he asked. she looked at the pups and said "tomarrow is the full moon... if i try to hurt the pups, promis me that if i try to kill them, to kill me...." he stared at her. not knowing what to say.

Andre's ears flattened against his head and he looked away for a moment. "You know I could not do that love..." He said then he looked at her then spoke to her again before she could respond. "If the problem comes, I WILL find a way to save both you and the pups... but I could not kill you, even if I had to..." He looked down and whined, putting the top of his head to her neck.

andre looked up at alfabrena questionaly. she sighed, and shook her head. "on this mater i have no answers.you have any ideas bale wolf?" the others turned to look at the bear wolf. he was staring into space. he finaly moved, glancing at the doorway to the chambor then to inomay before going back into his own thoughts. "do you know this place well?" he asked inomay suddenly.

"no i dont" said the she wolf. she looked at them and said "cant you seal me out of the room? seal this room and seal me in the other. and if i brake out of the other room than akakiba would attack kar not you." she licked her pups and andre. she was getting nervious so she was starting to groom andre.

Andre closed his eyes and purred while she groomed him, but he still spoke. "I don't want you to get on any worse relations with Kar than before though. We've got to figure out a way to where you cannot harm anybody..." He stopped talking for a moment while she continued grooming him behind the ears. "If possible, we could leave our pups to the care of the dragon and Bale wolf, as I'm sure they will be more than capable of protecting them from the slightest harm, and I will stay with you in another room. Wasn't your little enchantment you put on me to where I change when you do?" His question was targetted at Inomay.

alfabrena and bale wolf exchanged glances then turnd back to inomay and andre. "it is your desision inomay." bale wolf said, alfabrena nodding in agreemtent beside him.

" i dont know andre... u dont have a demon inside of you... you might but then he might fight you, and kill you." inomay sighed i have not talked to you in a long time wolf. said the demon. when we bonded the fox-wolf he got a demon of his own. there for he will lose the battle, like u do me every time. and i wil not kil him, it gets boring killing by urself. inomay sighed. "fine akakiba said andre will turn, and that he will not kil andre. so love i gues you get to come with me." inomay looked at the pups and said "well lets go to bed, andre love you get to lick the pups to sleep." with that inomay picked up the little black pup with the moon on his face, and carried him over to her nest. she set him with his brother ans sister and lied next to them. het mate lied on the other side of the pups and rested his head on her paws.
